How To HACK Your Mind For SUCCESS

You have been programmed for FAILURE by everyone around you. Here's how to fix that:

Your mind is fucked.

I’m sure you’ve heard your favourite athlete or business person, when asked what the most important thing for success was, say something along the lines of:

”Mindset is everything.”

You probably felt frustrated. Angry. “Just tell me the step-by-step secret fastrack to make $1,000,000, to build my physique, to get a girlfriend!”

I hate to break it to you - they were right.

In the modern day, we have access to so much valuable information on any topic. Millions of people have leveraged the power of the internet to build their dream physique, to develop valuable skills, to achieve financial freedom.

So why haven’t you?

Your mind filters all information through its mindset. Through its beliefs.

One person might see the breakthrough in AI technology as an opportunity to learn and develop valuable skills for the future, to finally acquire financial freedom.

Another person might use it to watch AI porn.

You have access to all the information and opportunities you could ever need - the reason why you haven’t acted on them is because of your mentality.

This is the Silent Killer. This is what is holding you back.

But this should make you angry. The reason you aren’t living the life you want is because your subconscious mind has been programmed to be just like everyone else.

  • Your parents

  • Your teachers

  • The TV shows you used to watch

  • The social media content you consume

All of these things have been programming your mind - without you even realising it.

And obviously it’s not working.

But keep reading until the end: because in this letter, I’m going to give you a step-by-step protocol to destroy any limiting belief you have, and replace them one by one - until you have the mindset of a champion.

The Victim Mentality

“Steve” wants to achieve financial freedom, but feels like everything is against him. He blames:

  • the “matrix” for holding him back

  • his genetics for not blessing him with any gifts

  • his parents for not being rich or teaching him the right things

This is a classic example of the victim mentality. Steve believes that the reason he hasn’t achieved the success he wants is because of other things, because of his circumstances.

But he completely ignores the fact that there are countless people who have had it worse, but done it better. He ignores all the things that he could be doing to work towards his dream life, instead fixating on what he can’t control.

Sound familiar?

The antidote - extreme ownership. Realise that whilst some things in your life aren’t your fault, they definitely are your responsibility.

No one cares about you more than you. So instead of blaming everything else, take a look at what you do have, and see what you could be doing better. There is no point worrying about something that you can’t control. Just accept it, and focus on what you can do.

The Fixed Mindset

Now the fixed mindset is the erroneous belief that some people are born with certain traits or talents, and we can’t do anything to change it.

“Steve” blames the fact that he wasn’t born attractive with an IQ of 200, and so just gives up on trying all together. “Business just isn’t my thing”. “I’m not a sporty type of person.”

But countless experiments and studies have proven that nurture is more important than nature. So if you feel like you can’t achieve the success you want to achieve because other people are “better than you” and you feel inferior, just remember this simple truth:

Yes, we are all born with different strengths, but through focussed effort and learning from feedback or mistakes, anyone can get considerably better - or even world class level - at any skill.

This is called a Growth Mindset.

(I suggest reading Carol Dweck’s book "Mindset” for more on this topic.)

Destroying Limiting Beliefs

The more that you drum these 2 ideas into your mind (extreme ownership and growth mindset), the quicker you will make progress.

But this is easier said than done.

Whilst I have described 2 overarching mentalities (victim and fixed), the truth is, each of us contains hundreds and thousands of tiny, limiting micro-beliefs - and each of them hold us back from our true potential.

So one by one, whenever you notice that you have a negative idea or belief, when your subconscious mind tells you “you can’t do this”, simply break this down with rationality.

Whenever you’ve identified a negative limiting belief that is holding you back, just get out your journal, and follow these steps:

  • Ask yourself: is this belief even real? Is this rational? Does this even make sense? Or is it based on untruths? If so, disregard it - it can’t hurt you if it’s not real.

  • Ask yourself: does it serve me in any way to have this belief? Is there any benefit? If not, again - disregard it.

Something I’ve found that helps is whilst you’re writing all this out in your journal, after you’ve broken down and weeded out all your old negative beliefs, literally scribble them out.

Violently cross them out. Rip out the page, scrunch it up and throw it out. When Bruce Lee used to do this protocol, he would even burn this page. This signifies the destruction of your old self, to make space for the new you.

So after we’ve broken down the negative, limiting belief with rationality, we must replace it. If you just break down the negative belief but leave nothing in its place, you will always just go back to your old mindset.

I like to call these “Autopilots”.

Chris Williamson has a quote I love: “we’re all delusional in some way. So why not delude yourself in a way that serves you?”

Everyone, no matter how smart you think you are, will never be able to have all the knowledge and wisdom on the planet. Nobody. Nobody will ever have a 100% correct worldview.

So if you’re going to be wrong either way, why not choose the option that at least helps you to be more happy, and achieve all of your dreams?

Seems like a no brainer, right?

Choose the mindset and the set of beliefs that serves you. For every limiting belief that you break down, simply ask yourself:

“What is a more rational - and helpful - belief for me to have in this situation?”

Write these out clearly on your page. underline them. Star them. Draw a box around them. This is the new you. This is what you live by now.

Echo Chamber Of Success

Surround yourself with people and consume content from creators, for who these two mindsets are the norm - make them the things you live by.

Sometimes, you will find yourself slipping back into fixed or victim mindsets - as soon as you realise this, snap back to reality.

Awareness is the first step to success.

To summarise - follow this protocol:

  1. Identify when you have a limiting belief that is holding you back

  2. Break this belief down with rational thinking and logic

  3. Replace this old belief that you destroyed with a new, useful “Autopilot”

  4. Surround yourself with people and consume content from people who embody the mindset you want to have

Hopefully number 4 includes me ;)

Until next time,

Yvan
